The movie is narrated by Eddie “Scrap-Iron” Dupris (played by Morgan Freeman) and opens on a boxing match in Los Angeles in which “cut man” and trainer Frankie Dunn (Eastwood) is in the corner of “Big” Willie Little (Mike Colter). Maggie Fitzgerald (Swank) watches the match and later asks Frankie to train her, but he refuses and the story goes of her getting trained by Frankie.
Directed by Clint Eastwood
Starring Clint Eastwood
What a great movie. It shows the relationship between the coach and the boxer. The relationship has depicted very nicely. All Clint movies are great but this one is my favourite. Hilary Swank is the real actress, who deserved her Oscars for this movie and for Boys Don’t Cry which she was very good in. She seems a flexible actress unlike many talentless mannequin actresses today winning Oscars for doing nothing
